06/06/20 WHEN BELIEVERS SIN — Scripture is clear that ALL human beings SIN—we think, say and do things that violate God’s commandments; and we fail to think, say and do good things God expects of us. Romans 3:23(CSB) says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Even believers sin. Consider what the great Apostle Paul said, near the end of his life, in Romans 7:24, “What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?”

The GOOD NEWS is in the very next verses; Romans 8:1-2 says, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, 2 because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.” Our former pastor, the late Dr. Ron Herrod, used to say: “Before I was saved, I used to LEAP into sin and LOVE it! Now that I am saved, I LAPSE into sin and LOATHE it!”
