05/29/20 SEMI-BIBLICAL PUNS? — The 5/27/20 evening news reported that Nancy Pelosi said the Republicans PRAY on Sunday and PREY on people the rest of the week, while her Democrats DO GOD’S WORK meeting the needs of people. It’s nearly always embarrassing and frustrating to hear a politician butcher either the wording or the meaning of a Scripture passage. I’d appreciate it if our barely-religious political celebrities stick to their own areas of expertise, assuming they have any, and avoid discussing which political party is doing God’s Kingdom Work!

Daniel 2:21 (CSB) says “He changes the times and seasons; he removes kings and establishes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.” In spite of all our political posturing, campaigning, parties, conventions, PACs, elections, etc., in the final analysis, GOD Himself chooses ALL Our Leaders!

Sorry, Nancy! Serious American Christians have a terrible choice these days, trying to decide WHICH of our two ungodly political parties (and its nominees) is LEAST OFFENSIVE to them and Almighty God!
