05/18/20 BEYOND THE BUILDING — On a news channel we just heard a loud, animated preacher encouraging pastors and church leaders of every faith to exercise their 2nd Amendment right to gather for worship! I hate to sound like a broken record. And I am certainly looking forward to meeting face-to-face with fellow believers for worship, Bible study and fellowship ASAP! BUT it is infinitely more important that we make plans to LEAVE our comfortable, expensive church facilities and GO—across our yard, street, city, state, nation and the oceans—ASAP!

          In Matthew 28:19 (CSB) Jesus commanded us, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” We do NOT need to “get things back to normal,” sitting in our comfortable pews. We MUST get back to OBEDIENCE and ACTION, ASAP!
